Garrett Smith is a English-born Canadian actor, voice actor, and philanthropist best known for voicing Goldis in the Starry video game series and for playing Garrett on the sitcom Chris.
Garrett Smith was born on July 26, 1990 in Yorkshire, England and moved to Canada when he was 5 years of age, in 1995. He began his voice acting career in 2008 when he voiced Goldis, one of the main characters in the Starry video game series. In 2013 he returned as the voice of Goldis for the sequel to Starry, Starry 2. Since 2014 Smith has been voicing Goldis on the Starry animated series. Garrett began acting in 2015 when he played Garrett, one of Brysen's most trustful workers and problem solvers on Brysen Brodie's sitcom Chris. He is also a recurring guest on Brysen's talk show, Up To Date With Brysen Brodie and starred in the movie for the series in 2015, Up To Date With Brysen Brodie: The Movie. Garrett has a strong accent. In the Starry video game series it is hard to tell that Garrett has an accent. Smith is also a writer on Chris and has been writing on the series since the pilot.
Smith has largely been involved in charity work including helping the Harbourville Cancer Society. Starting in Up To Date With Brysen Brodie's second season every month Garrett and Brysen are going to choose a kid with cancer to make a "cheemio" appearance on his show to help raise money for cancer awareness. Garrett started helping raise money for cancer in 2012 when his grandmother ended her life due to cancer. So far Garrett and Brodie Group have raised about $500, 000 dollars towards cancer research and awareness. In 2015 the Harbourville Cancer Society honored Garrett for his effors in helping raise money to help kids and adults all across the world with cancer.
